Toni realizes she must keep Vito's antics a secret from Mike who she thinks would kill him if he knew. Mike arrives at the motel to collect Toni. He deduces that something has upset her, so she tells him everything except that Vito made a pass at her. Matt and Greta share a happy reunion with Maggie back home from the hospital. They are joyous that everything is finally back to normal. Mike probes an upset Toni for more details, but she suddenly suggests that they elope that night. Carolee and Emma are delighted when they visit the house she found, though Emma persists in her determination to not live with him. Carolee expresses her fears about becoming a new mother to Erich when they are strangers to one another. Mike and Toni discuss whether or not they should hold off on marrying so that Maggie can enjoy arranging the wedding, but Toni says that she can arrange a big celebration for them instead. Convinced, Mike decides that they should head for the state line.
