Jyoti Bane Jwala and Prakash Mehra film Jwalamukhi had same story, both tittles start from ' J ' and both films had Waheeda Rehman, Vinod Mehra and Kader Khan.

Jyoti Bane Jwala was Jetendra 's home production.

Moushumi's role appears truncated especially in the second part of the movie. That's because she was pregnant with her second daughter during the time. Sarika benefitted from this and her role got extended. Moushumi always prioritized her personal life over her movies. She had let go of the song Hai Hai yeh majboori in Roti Kapda aur makaan, since she was pregnant with her first daughter. Zeenat had benefited then, as the song had been picturized on her and turned out to be a huge hit.

Vinod Mehra also worked in Jwalamukhi, the film that had the exact same story line as Jyoti Bane Jwala. Jeetendra and Prakash Mehra would keep asking Vinod what was happening in on the others sets. Vinod stated that when he signed Jwalamukhi he her briefly about his role. When he signed Jyoti Bane Jwala he Left the discretion entirely up to Jeetendra and the director . Mehra would go for kidney surgery and returned to shoot the disco number with Sarika.

talking about packaging, this jyoti bane jwala is a well packaged product for movie lovers the world over.

this is another smashing hit from tirupathi pictures. jeetu excels in all spheres. i have long awaited a film like this. it's story, screenplay and direction are superb. dasari did a great job. and jeetu and the rest of the star cast including vinod mehra excelled.

in my view, the film marks a turning point in jeetu's flourishing career and it did added to his acting image as a good actor.

all the action scenes are great. the dual character plays of jeetu is very convincing. it gives me a very good impression that director has a major role getting the best out of every actor. that is the revelation that dasari gave me of jeetendra.

jeetu is indeed a wonderful actor !!!

even 24 years after, the film still remains a must watch.

Jyoti bane Jwala was a super hit movie of 1980, Story screenplay as well as direction was so good, Jeetendra gave his best performance in this movie, Jeetendra proves through this movie that he can do this kind of grey characters too, his most powerful performance appeal to audience to watch the movie again & again, Jeetendra facial expressions particularly his eyes speaks put additional points to his acting skills, I am sure no other actors of that time Amitabh, Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna even can't justify to that Jwala character. Hightlight of movie was the last scenes between Waheed Rehman & Jeetendra, His entry with tiger, Injured scenes with Waheeda Rehman in flashback, Jeetendra entry into police station lodging complaint to Vinod Mehra, Fight sequences with Bob Christo, Yousuf Khan & the climax fight with Vinod Mehra was too well composed.
