Great timeless comedy. Even after 40 years of its initial release, this movie is funny and entertaining. Mehmood's best performance ever. Other actor's performances are good too. In 1992, this movie was remade by David Dhawan as "Aankhen" with Govinda, Chunky pandey and Kader Khan. Songs of this movie are good too. Now I want to see more movies made by Mehmood. All these years I thought Govinda tries to copy Kishore Kumar. But after watching this movie I realized that he tries to copy Mehmood. Now I also understand why Mehmood was considered king of comedy. I never really liked his comedy until I watched this movie. And now I am a big fan.

This movie was Mehmood at his best

The movie is just like AANKHEN(1993) with the same two sons mistaken for the other along with a gang of baddies whose plot is discovered by two loafers

The climax with Ashok Kumar boxing is funny along with when both Mehmoods are taken in the other one's house mistaken for the other This movie has many key bits of entertainment

Mehmood is the best in his double role which keeps you fooled but makes you laugh Aruna Irani is OK Vinod Mehra is OK Anjana is OK Ashok Kumar is funny Ramaprabha is hilarious

This has got to be one of the best Hindi comedies till date. In fact this movie was the basis for a big hit movie: 'Aankhen', *-ing Govinda-Chunky Pandey and directed by the current king of Hilarious movies, David Dhawan. The movie has the late Mehmood and the late Vinod Mehra giving their best performances in lead roles. The script was really cool and the direction was really great. The late and great Ashok Kumar or Dad Muni as he was popularly known was very good in a role that was custom made for him. Mehmood himself was superb in the two roles which he portrayed in the movie. All in all a great popcorn movie which has everything for the whole family.
