Taped at the United Nations in honor of that organization's 15th anniversary, this program served as the opening broadcast of Red Skelton's 10th television season. Before a distinguished audience of delegates, politicians, and journalists, Skelton offered a concert in pantomime, including classic routines as 'The Fool and the Feather', 'Slow Motion Tennis Game', 'The Old Man Playing Golf', 'A Chef Mixes a Salad', "A Man and his Wife Climb the Eiffel Tower', and 'An Old Man Watches a Parade', plus the folk song 'Foggy Foggy Dew.' Each vignette was introduced in both English and French, but it was hardly necessary: Everyone 'understood' Skelton, and everyone laughed heartily - even the Russians. For this program, Red Skelton won the United States Information Agency's Award for Distinguished Service.
