Ronnie's back after her shoplifting ordeal and finds a surprisingly understanding Mr. Bronson waiting. Robbie plucks up the courage to ask Calley out, but Calley's in a world of her own, racked with guilt about her part in encouraging her friend, and embarrassed about the braces on her teeth. Gonch talks to Ziggy about his latest idea - babysitting. The idea requires acquiring some "business partners" - some make-believe girlfriends. Ziggy rather tactlessly asks Freddie for some of his cast-offs while Laura is listening. While Ronnie speaks to Mrs. McClusky, Helen and Georgina burst in, and tell of their part in the shoplifting. Justine finally persuades Tegs to go to a remedial class for reading. Laura has an argument with her mother and comes close to telling him about Simon - but she already seems to be getting fed up with him. Gonch has the first babysitting lined up, and Ziggy is forced to make the acquaintance of Karen for the night. The kids prove to be a little tough to handle...
