This episode had me in tears since the moment I realized that this will the final chapter of Ragnar in our lives. Love the flashback images of Ragnar thinking in all the important moments and people in his crossing and had me thinking of the time that has passed since this magnificent show start and the development of the principal characters. Probably this is one of the saddest deaths in TV shows and the sequence when all the snakes we're biting him was magnificent, and I see a lot of TV shows, and Travis Fimmel was superb, that's all. The only bad thing, and I hate that, is that Travis put one of the best performances of a character ever in television history but don't even get a nomination for something. That's a disappointment, but in my heart he won all the academy awards. Long live to Ragnar Lothbrok.

A must see! Ragnar who gave up his faith and the Gods, knowing that the man himself shapes his own destiny and not the gods. An amazing episode with a magnificent death of King Ragnar Lothbrok. A death that will be sung in songs and retold for centuries. Incredible acting by Travis Fimmel, his "sons" have big shoes to fill. Now comes the time for Ivar the boneless who will seek revenge for the death of his parents. Both of them. I can not wait to the end of the break and to see the rule of one of the most ruthless Viking leaders. It will also be interesting to see what will happen with Ragnars first born son Bjorn. I expect that he will also play a major role in the continuing saga of the Vikings.

It's the end for Ragnar Lothbrok but it's the beginning of a new generation for his sons.

This episode was a masterpiece, everything was natural and truthful in it, the tension during the transfer to King Aelle, the final truth of the words from The Seer "You will die on the day that the blind man sees you." and of course, the words from Ragnar "How the little piggies will grunt when they hear how the old boar suffered" and his final speech.

The soundtrack was so beautiful in this episode, I really hope that there will be a release of the songs soon!

One of the greatest episodes and one to never forget.

For Ragnar Lothbrok!

Ragnar Lothbrok is dead. Of course this day was coming but what an end he had. No, Ragnar was not only a likable character, he had bad sides for sure. In his life he was selfish, partly cruel and ego-driven at some points, and then, of course he was all that because you don't become a leader and king with just being nice and friendly, humans don't work like that, they didn't back then, they still don't today. But Ragnar has gone through a metamorphosis, he questioned everything, especially his faith and in the end came to the result that he doubts the existence of the gods, or any god. He came to understand he wronged people and he apologized to those who deserved and needed it.

It was hard to watch him being tortured by King Aille, and yet it was impressive to see how he would not back down until the very end, no words of apology, and with his final speech, that he hisses and snarls out of his cage, covered in his own blood, he went down like a true Viking.

As I said, I was always impressed by Ragnar, but always aware that he had bad sides, very realistically shown, and that it would have felt wrong for me to just praise him without having those bad sides in mind. Yet, when I saw him die now in this way, and before, him remembering the important things in his life, then seeing Gyda, his daughter, the purest and most innocent soul he brought into life, I started crying. I didn't expect that. His character matured in the end, not without a last mischievous action against Ecbert, who will wake to a surprise when the sons of Ragnar will come for him. I was sad to see Ragnar die now, and deeply impressed how he went out. A fantastic episode, outstanding acting from both Travis Fimmel and Linus Roche, and a death that will be remembered as well as the rest of the legacy of Ragnar Lothbrok.

A masterclass. It was one of the best episode I have ever watched in any tv series. I can't describe it in words. the moment ragnar remembers his important memories. the moment he rise and go back into his cage. the moment he stand in his cage and says his last words... ragnar questioned everything. his believe in gods one of them. have you ever questioned your believes? It's a hard move. we all can see ourselves in ragnar. and maybe some day, when we reach his understandings. we will question our believes too...

It would not make sense for viewers to watch this explosive episode without having an in depth understanding of the first four seasons episodes that preceded episode 15 of season 4. The one character who epitomizes the series "Vikings" is by this particular exciting episode referred to as King Ragnar Lothbrook, played brilliantly by actor Travis Fimmel.

Now King Ragnor Lothbrook fears no man, no sea, nor any predicament that he may find himself somewhat uncomfortable within because he has shown an incredible ability to outthink all of his adversaries, overcome any and all obstacles and to lead his brave vikings to victory after victory across oceans and the continents. Ragnar has many young sons and his oldest son Bjorn Lothbrok played by Alexander Ludwig was a sponge soaking up all of his father and his King's brilliant battle strategies, determining when to strike and when not to strike. Ragnar and his son Bjorn shared many battles fighting shoulder to shoulder as well as many meals and father and son conversations.

Ragnar's true loves were his sons, his wives, his mistresses and of course his fellow vikings and his battle ships that were built by his most loyal follower Floki, played by Gustaf Skarsgård. The series has been developed with an eye for attempting to be historically accurate so you could read up on who King Ragnar Lothbrook was, when he lived, and who his descendants were. Or rather you could decide to binge watch the first four seasons of Vikings and pay close attention to season 4, episode 15, titled "All His Angels". This episode could have been released in a mainstream film version format and extended for two hours as I for one did not want this episode to end. It does change the direction of the remainder of the series which I prefer not to divulge anything and allow you to figure out by watching this exciting episode which is one of the most explosive episodes of the entire television series.

It is worthy of a perfect 10 out of 10 rating.

Ragnar has a private conversation with Ivar and asks his son to revenge his death attacking Wessex with no mercy and killing King Ecbert. Ragnar gives the Athelston's crucifix to Alfred and discloses to King Ecbert that Athelston chose Christ before dying. Ragnar is transported in a cage to Northumbria and delivered to King Aelle that tortures him before killing him in a pit full of snakes. Ivar returns to Kattegat and his brothers tell that Lagherta killed their mother.

"All His Angels" shows the real motivation of the return of Ragnar to Wessex. His painful end is sad and it is difficult to understand how a warrior like him decides to die like a martyr. What will Ivar do in Kattegat and who is the cloaked stranger with one eye are the questions for the next episodes. My vote is eight.

Great episode! but it was so sad how such a great character died. The time when Ragnar remembered his family before his death was so sadly terrific.

An incomparable performance by Travis Fimmel. Ragnar's final soliloquy and death throes were a testament to Fimmel's talent. Why this performance has not been formally recognized is unbelievable. Hard to imagine the show without this formidable presence.

The end of Ragnar. The show had teased before that Ragnar could die before the end of the show, and here we finally have it. Ragnar is a prisoner, and King Ecbert 'delivers' him to King Aelle so Ragnar and Ecbert's plan to destroy Aelle can come to fruition. Cue King Aelle and his people being mean to Ragnar till the bitter ending.

The acting in the episode is really good, and Fimmel, as always, does a great job as Ragnar, his last moments full of poignancy and acceptance. At the same time, I will probably be in the minority here, but I found the episode quite empty. It is important to give time to salute and say goodbye to Ragnar, but a big part of the episode consists of the 'torture' of Ragnar by King Aelle and his soldiers and it becomes a little bit tiresome.

Solid episode but a little bit stretched thin, it keeps its head above water by the mood and the great acting. And now new paths are in the future of the Vikings...

Travis Fimmel takes the acting to another level. He gives his soul, Ragnar gives his live, and as fans we are repaying them by loving Rangnar legend and appreciating Fimmel. Thank you Fimmel for all the emotions you gave to me. And all hail to King Ragnar ❤

He is the sane-ness man knowing, people needs something to believe in him however, believe in him self even till his death! This how everyone's mind should be. But not many could do it. Skol! To Valhalla, Ragnar Lothbrok. King Ragnar Lothbrok! King Aelle is a fat and worthless king of all series. But is only great job done by talented actors and actresses! Can't wait till the new release on Netflix!
