Princess Aslaug's latest prophecy comes to fruition; Ragnar and Horik have very different ideas about the true purpose of their trip to Wessex.

Aslaug gives birth to a son but his physical disabilities leads Ragnar to a difficult decision. In Wessex, King Ecbert welcomes Princess Kwenthrith of Mercia. After they arrive in Wessex, Ragnar informs Horik and Lagertha that they will negotiate with Egbert rather than fight. It doesn't sit well with them that Ragnar has made this decision without consulting them. Horik decides to do something about it.
