Breaking Up Is Hard To Do: Part 2

The origin of Will Smith's fame and too many mentions from The Graham Norton Show got me to binge watch this series which I thought had a potential to be a typical one-time-watch sitcom, but turned out to be something more than that. The creators made the relations pretty much clear from the first frame, now all one seek and wait for is their character development through this journey with hopefully no dips on content or humor, that it fortunately delivers till the end. The relation between Will Smith and Tatyana Ali seemed interesting on earlier season where the writers could have gone easily (but wasn't explored to that extent) and instead were directed towards Alfonso Rebeiro that draws out the laughs from your typical "sibling rivalry" formula whilst with James Avery there is a soft spot hidden in there that binds it all.

After a bumpy season, the expectations are higher on the final season which unfortunately doesn't go as anticipated and the reason would be the writers that are running out of ideas and creativity that results onto creating a repetitive slog which is a punch in the gut for the viewers as there is a genuine shock and disappointment in the air.

It starts off light and breezy with amazing one-liners but soon after that the plot grows thin and premise wears off quickly as the writers spend their half of the time on flashback sequences which is not only exhausting but something that has been projected earlier too.

Now the family is trying to get Vivian and Phi; back together.

Of course we were never believing that they won't be back together. The episode still had its fun moments. The best was them imagining what it will be like if Vivian doesn't come back. Will's was definitely the funniest.
