This movie had potential in concept, but, sadly, it failed to deliver the goods. Obviously, a great deal of money was spent on set dressing as you can tell from all the high-end cars and costumes. All I can imagine is that some rich guy's kid wanted to become a filmmaker, so daddy forked over a boatload of cash in the attempt to make it happen. But that money goes to waste due to the amateurish acting and sub-par cinematography. I love Miami and there are some great views of the city and a good job was done in showing off the lifestyle typical to the area, but that is where my enjoyment of this movie ended. All in all, South Beach nostalgia aside, this movie is difficult to watch through to the end. If you do make it to the end, you will get to see the funniest scene... a blooper clip of a real Broward sheriff yanking the director and some cast members over for rolling dirty down Miami streets packing a pile fake firearms. Recognize that it was this level of idiocy at the helm of this titanic piece of flashy trash, and your expectations should be sufficiently sunk in preparation.

You definitely don't want to miss the hot Miami action in Director! Check out the synopsis: With only a hand-held camera to her name Adriana arrives in Miami to pursue her dream of becoming a famous director. She is hired on the spot by a couple of French producers, but the job is too good to be true, and Adriana has unknowingly played the role of accessory to robbery. Desperate to achieve notoriety any way she can, Adriana continues her illegal film work with the 'producers.' But will she get in too deep and compromise her dream? There are bank robberies, beautiful women, sick parties, badass guns, car chases, and not those low budget chase scenes either, I'm talking Ferrari on Lamborghini action. The first person camera work is shaky and did make me a little sick, but then again, a steadier shot would have taken away from the gritty feel of the film. So push past the nausea and keep watching, trust me, it's worth it!
