Ted is reduced to walking after the Commodore is stolen at the airport when they see Thelma off on her trip to Europe for six months. Ted is concerned about how he will get on by himself and it doesn't start off well when he can't find the Milo. Domestic chores and Ted don't go together, and he feeds himself by stealing meals from the local Meals on Wheels delivery vehicle. Things get worse when Bob and Merle move in after renting out their house to a movie company. Bruno and Greta then solve Ted's difficulties by bringing in Bruno's mother to look after him.
