Ted's day gets worse when Bob and Merle come for dinner. Merle is producing and acting in a play, which she also wrote. Bob is playing the lead role, opposite Merle who is playing a 16 year old girl, Lady Deborah. Bob is pointing out that Merle is too old to play such a young girl. Merle fights back and she has a $500 bet with Bob that can seduce any male. Bob takes the bet and gives her the challenge of seducing Ted. Ted helps Bob learn his lines by playing Merle's part, which comes in handy when Merle injures herself. Ted rises to the challenge.
