Bhavna is a story of a less privileged women. A lady who was living all alone in the city met a man named Ajay Kapoor in a garden, sketching. They became friends and later on friendship turned into love. Eventually they got married, however, Kapor's dad had not granted permission for this marriage. After bearing a financial crises, Ajay went to see his dad who was residing in another city. Ajay never came back to Bhavna. Bhavna went to that city and was astonished to see that Ajay married another women. Dejected Bhanva came back and started a new job. But this was not the end of the story.

It was the first & only film Sanjay Dutt name appeared as miscellaneous crew. But this Sanjay is not actor Sanjay Dutt ,but producer Devi Dutt's son Sanjay Dutt.
Naseeruddin Shah showed up on the films sets of Bhavna and roughed up producer Devi Dutt. Naseeruddin claimed he was owed money for Masoom. Every time he was asked for his money owed for Masoom, Devi Dutt claimed the movie did not do well and he made no money. Naseeruddin knew that was a lie. Masoom was a hit and made money. Naseeruddin claimed Devi was his friend and he trusted him and lent him money to complete Masoom. Now Devi did not want to pay up. When confronted Devi denied this incident and claimed Naseeruddin showed up on the sets to ask why he was not offered Marc Zuber's role. Devi claimed that director Parveen Bhatt thought the role was completely negative and Naseeruddin would be wasted in the role.
The producer wanted Suresh Oberoi for the film. But Shabana Azmi insisted Marc Zuber be signed.
Second movie of Urmila Matondkar as a child artist along with Shabana Azmi. The first being Masoom.
