The notorious gangster is named Fingers Scarnose, with a signature scar across his nose. Famous Prohibition-era gangster Theodore Roosevelt was known as "Scarface", for three signature scars on his left cheek and neck. The movie Scarface (1932) was loosely based on Capone.
In the "Dudley Do-Right of the Mounties" segment ("Snidely's Vic Whiplash Gym"), Snidely Whiplash runs a health club called Vic Whiplash's Gym, which features such amenities as a swimming pool, a bowling alley, an ice skating rink, a golf course, a pool hall, a bingo room, a shooting gallery, a race track, and a steam room. This is a spoof of Vic Tanny's Gyms, a chain of fitness centers founded by visionary health club pioneer Vic Tanny.
