Aliens from Another Planet (1982) Online

This is a compilation of three episodes of the series, "THE TIME TUNNEL". The first was the pilot about a government project. Which is a device that can send people into the future or past. When a senator sent to inspect the project and decide if it is feasible to continue, is not impressed, Tony Newman, one of the scientists working on it, decides to go through it, knowing fully well, that he has no idea what the results might be. He ends up in 1912, on the Titanic, just before it sank. Naturally, he tries to warn them but they of course don't believe him. Doug Phillips another scientist follows him. Naturally, they could not stop it. But the scientists back in the present were able to get them out of there. Their next stop is the 19th century, where some aliens are invading with the purpose of taking all of the planet's food. Of course Tony and Doug must try and stop them. And then, back in the present, one of the projects technicians, is a spy, he kills the one manning the tunnel ...

This "movie" has it all. Spray painted aliens (humans a million years in the future), revolvers with 1 inch silencers, technicians in jump suits, computers with reel drives, and everything is made out of plastic in the future too. Although most of the performances could better be described as wood. Evidently mankind has enough technology to travel in time, but no one has a simple Geiger counter to find a nuclear bomb. From the description in the TV guide, it places the production date of this gem at 1967, this site says early 80's, which gives it a campy feel. Robert Duvall is great in this one, you can see he was destined for better things; his performance is probably why this compilation gem was made, to piggy back off his popularity at the time this came out. All in all not that bad, there are plenty of worse ways to pass a couple of hours on a winter weekend.

The aliens wear oven mitts; the aliens speak perfect English but don't know what 'trouble' means; and best of all Robert Duvall with the classic 'what am I doing here?' look. This is a great one to play MST3K to. The chase through the lab is great...one lap around the set with a few cubicle walls thrown in for the classic 2 hour wait from this point sign! Oscilloscopes, tape reels and lots of flashing lights...this is a great time waster. I watched Time Tunnel as a child and loved it then, although I had no idea it was in color. I also didn't remember it lasting only 1 season, as IMDb says. If I recall, we watched it Saturday morning. If you can't laugh at this then you don't have a funny bone in your body

I caught this movie on FMC not knowing what to expect and I'm glad I gave it a chance. Lets just say we go from metallic outfits with mono toned voice acting to komodo dragons dressed as "dinosaurs." We then venture into a western(?) scene complete with rampaging Indians and all the un-pc stereotypes that comes with it. Definitely not what I expected and I gave it a six stars mostly because of the rather slow beginning. If you want to relax and watch a silly sci fi movie and question whether the lead actors are latent homosexuals then this is the movie for you. I might also mention that Robert Duvall stars in this fun fare. Dare I say as a precursor to his superior role in THX 1138.

The title says it all. It's like making a war movie and calling it "Men With Guns Shooting at Each Other".

A 2 hour episode of the TV show "Time Tunnel" which was abysmal at best. Don't even bother with this dog.
