When pharmacist, John Letbetter, spies a beautiful shop girl who works across the street it's love at first sight. But this puppy love quickly becomes blinding obsession causing John to lose focus at work. After a near-fatal mistake the jobless, friendless, and hopeless John hatches a plan of drastic measures to try and win the shop girl's heart. His prescription: one part burglary, three parts pharmaceutical abuse, and a double dose of fornication, washed down with a cold glass of mental deterioration.
