When the officer takes care of the weapons, we read "Hammer" on the label - with Justin Hammer being the boss of the biggest weapon company of the Marvel Universe after Tony Stark quit weapon production in Iron Man (2008) - just one small easter egg connecting back to Iron Man 2 (2010), where Justin Hammer appeared for the first time.
The video of the new military tech features Polish. Roughly translated the man says, "Don't worry, you will be safe. Everything will work. Stand there a bit longer. Stand...good, yes."
The episode's title is the name of Gang Starr's song from the album Step In the Arena.
In the conversation between Claire Temple and her mother, they mention "Aliens coming out of the skies, people with silver hammers, green monsters" referring to The Avengers (2012) (Loki and his alien army, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk). Also Claire mentions 'a blind man that can see' and undead Ninjas with autopsy scars killing one of her co-workers referring to Dare Devil season two.

Justin Hammer is a nod to Iron Man 2. Hammer tech or Industries, is Tony Starks only, and brief adversary.
Luke Cage refers to two thugs as Plug 1 and Plug 2 just before he knocks them out. This is a nod to the hip hop group De La Soul and the aliases Posdnuos and Dave sometimes use.
