The story is about Jeff, a reclusive man, who has dedicated his life to a strict routine of following sun cycles, weather charts and radio waves. He is looking for something to explain the increasing and strange weather pattern that do not correlate with the sun's behavior or the weather charts. In following radio transmissions, he can try and hear what is going on in the ionosphere. When Jeff stumbles onto a strange signal it makes him question everything around him.
