Screenwriter Gregory Poppen plays the surfer thug who chases Edward (Sean Kellman) and Melissa (Linda Cardellini) away from his car.
The scenes in Edward's suite were filmed on location during a particularly hot August. The Gelfland costumes were mostly wool, and very thick. Because air conditioners create unwanted noise over dialogue, they were shut off. The room temperature often climbed past one hundred five degrees Fahrenheit (forty-one degrees Celsius).
Arye Gross and C. Thomas Howell appeared in Soul Man (1986).
