The mutineers, sailing on and on over the stormy seas, finally put in at a port, where they witness a clever fight, the hero of which they take aboard and subsequently make him captain. This is the old captain's son, who, realizing that it is his father's craft, fathoms the mystery of the captain's disappearance and finally succeeds in rescuing him. The mates have died and the old man has lost his mind with the hardships he has borne; but the picture of the boy's mother brings him back to his senses and a happy reunion results.
