Mild-mannered Dr. Tommy Oliver barely escapes the island alive and becomes a high school teacher a couple years later. Among his students are three kids who come from different worlds. Conner is a cocky soccer player who is very popular jock. Ethan is a computer whiz who dreams of being the next Bill Gates. Kira is the lead singer of her band and has plenty of attitude. The three end up getting detention with Dr. Oliver who takes them to a museum. He tells them what he wants them to do to get out of detention while he goes to get information on the museum. They get separated from him and find some gems. The trio get into a bit of trouble with some weird reptilian creatures and develop powers from the gems. Soon thereafter, Kira decides that she doesn't want her gem and gives it back. She gets captured right in front of Conner and Ethan who go to Dr. Oliver for help, only to make a startling discovery.

Conner says "Dude, the guy's a teacher, not Batman!" and scoffs at the idea that an item in Tommy's study could reveal a hidden cave (which turns out to be true). The Batman's Batcave entrance with a hidden switch in Bruce Wayne's study was most famously shown in the 1966 series. It is significant that Conner delivered that line; James Napier, who plays Conner, is the great-grandson of Alan Napier, who played Alfred in Бэтмен (1966).
Tommy is seen wearing a mix of the five Ranger colors he has assumed, a pair of green pants, a black undershirt, a white jacket and a red shirt.
The episode's title is a reference to the first episode of Могучие рейнджеры (1993), Day of the Dumpster.
None of the Rangers appear morphed in this episode.
Dr. Oliver lives at 1992 Valencia Road.
