Kruger Schtelman an ex-SS officer serving time in a communist prison is kidnapped by the IMF and made to believe he is on board a submarine. The team must get Schtelman to reveal the location of funds stolen by the Nazis before the military police close in on the IMF operation.

The fake submarine is said to be the U-613. In reality, the U-613 was lost with all hands in 1943.
The maps of the police dragnet searching for Schtelman show a street named "Gelle", after Bruce Geller, the creator and executive producer of the series.
Schtelman, at one point opens his shirt and shows off the SS tattoo on his shoulder, consisting of a skull and crossbones and a five-digit number: 77326. That turns out to be the bank account number long-sought by Schtelman's captors and by the IMF.
