Steven Patrick was the first actor to be cast in the film.
Steven Patrick & Paul Massie are both musicians.
During filming, Steven's car which features in the film was involved in a collision a week after the scene with Frasier & Cecil was shot. The car was still required for filming later scenes in the film and a replacement was sought soon after the accident. Luckily, Steven managed to find the same car but in green to allow filming to continue.
Darren McColl was still in school when the film was recorded. The producers only discovered this fact after his scenes had been shot. He was 17 when he was selected to play the role of Jim.
John Gaffney injured his finger during the fall scene in the film.
Austin Hayden & Craig Walker were both considered for the part of the record shop owner.

Only one scene was shot outside of East Kilbride. The record shop used in the film is Record Fayre in the Merchant City in Glasgow.
