**SPOILER ALERT!!** A man in Maryland hoping to get pictures of his wife cheating on him instead accidentally takes pictures of a UFO. Cade pays a visit to the man only to discover his pictures of the spacecraft aren't clear enough to be used as proof of alien invasion. As he is about to leave, all power on the street goes dead and the skies turn dark with spaceships: it appears the Second Wave has begun. Panic ensues and Cade joins with several neighbors who take cover in a reinforced bunker-like basement. When Cade tells the others about how the Gua use human bodies to disguise themselves the paranoia among the trapped neighbors reaches a fever pitch, resulting in an innocent man being killed. The attack stops as abruptly as it started, and Cade realizes that it was another Gua test -- one which the human race has miserably failed.
