Quagmire gets caught spying on Lois in a public toilet and is forced to confront his sex addiction. In the course of his recovery he saves a woman's life and is hailed as a hero. Jealous of Quagmire's new fame, Peter hatches a plan to get into the world records book by swallowing the most nickels. Unfortunately, swallowing so many coins has a side effect that Peter hasn't counted on.

As of this episode, probably the highest body count as a result of a fight between Peter and The Giant Chicken.
The title is based on the book "Blind Ambition" by John Dean on his involvement with the Watergate affair.
During the chicken fight, the very end of it is taken from Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark. During the plane scene, the chicken is "killed" the same way as the shirtless man while Peter portrays Jones.
When the Griffins are in the car and Peter announces his goal of eating nickles, the same 2 houses are passed many times, and are exactly the same on both sides of the street.
