When Shenro and Goku leave, the Dragon Balls enter Goku's body, with the Four-Star ball going into Goku's heart. This is symbolic because the Four-Star ball has always represented Grandpa Gohan to Goku.
Goku's last lines are "Until we meet again." This was the last thing his Grandfather Gohan told him in Dragon Ball (1986), when he too came back to Earth for a day to see his grandchild.
