In a rather odd plot setting, an British man has come all the way across the pond in order to make a name for himself by shooting the famous rifleman of North Fork. Jeremy Pennebroke played by renowned actor Arthur Malet, is a firearms gunsmith and has developed a new type of semi-rifle that he wants to use to kill Lucas. It seems that if he can kill Lucas with his new rifle then he will be getting orders from others to buy his gun and he will make money. This is the idea anyway.

When Lucas will not play his game, Jeremy believes that he is going to leave North Fork empty handed. But when a gunslinger rides into town, Jeremy now has a way to make a name for himself. But the gun fight does not go as planned.

This was really an old plot that has been played out many times. Instead of a cowboy riding into town to make a name for himself, now someone from another country makes their way to North Fork. The writer did everything he could do to make the story interesting and gave it a different twist toward the end. But it felt like the writer were really reaching on this tale. The story had a few good moments but just like the closing shot of the show-- it seemed almost too silly.
