If you've ever wondered what the world looks like to the Epileptic mind, of if you have ever experienced it first hand, I invite you to watch Lapse. It wasn't until years after outgrowing my Petite-Mal epilepsy that I could fully understand the impact it had on my life and person-hood. Lapse is my internal story of life with Epilepsy. No two Epileptics experience the same perspective, however. But Lapse does not solely focus upon the seizure itself. The purpose of the film is to depict the emotional state Epilepsy left me in, and this can hopefully feel applicable to anyone who has experienced any kind of mental condition.
