JJ Gilmour is an Internationally acclaimed Scottish singer-songwriter who made his recording debut in 1989 with The Silencers, one of Scotland's biggest bands who enjoyed huge success throughout Europe. A naturally gifted musician which allowed his successful transition into his solo career, this documentary follows JJ at a pivotal time in his career. With the release of The Boy Who Didn't Fall this allowed his fans to see a new side and an eagerly awaited album from him. He followed this with his vision of writing a musical and we catch a glimpse of one of these songs Dancing Shoes which saw JJ's dream come true and the hard work paid off with a successful run to 70,000 fans when Dancing Shoes - The George Best story debuted in Belfast's Grand Opera House in 2010.

JJ was approached to appear in the documentary and was hesitant at first and was pleased to show his fans this side of his career.

JJ Gilmour is a fabulous singer/song writer. Anybody who has seen him will testify to this. Sadly, he has been overlooked. If he had joined Runrig when asked, he would be famous now.

Go and see him if you get a chance and buy his great music on CD.

This short film demonstrates his great talent with haunting songs.

Dancing shoes in which he wrote many of the songs which are just great. Hopefully it will do another tour of Dublin, Glasgow Manchester & Liverpool.

He was in the Silencers which were popular in Scotland and France. You can see him on youtube playing all over.
