Claudia, an African-American woman in her mid-thirties, is a very successful career professional who seems to have it all together. However, coming home to an empty house after a long day at work painfully serves as a reminder of what she still lacks in life. As her closest friends and family members are getting married and starting families of their own, Claudias life as a single woman becomes harder to cope with. Soliloquy is a short film that explores the hidden side of singleness with both honesty and hope. Emerging from an internal state of self-pity and loneliness, Claudia self-reflects and chooses to appreciate herself and where she is in life. She accepts her current state of singleness as a time to get to know herself instead of resenting the fact that she has yet to meet a man to share her life with.
