While Alfredo, an obese guy with religious obsessions, claims he is healed, the seven others decide to complete their group therapy. They try hard to find a new shrink but to no avail. So why not do the job themselves? Which is easier said than done.

One of the best movies from Verdone. The characters have various degrees of psychotic disease, but basically they are not very different than the majority of us. They do have fears, and they appear gradually during the plot. Irony is widespread and pleasant, and does not shade the fact that happiness is a prize hardly (if ever) won. Very very enjoyable.

This film is very funny. I couldn't stop laughing especially at the beginning with all this psychiatric madness. The characters are not very original and they correspond to the classical cliches of psychiatric patients, but it's for this that the film results so enjoying. Carlo Verdone, directs and acts wonderfully, you can laugh just by seeing the faces he makes. The conversations with his terrible father are the best. Go to see it if you want to have a good time.

I wonder why Verdone persists in doing direction and acting together. I've seen many movies by him and by now I get the impression that the subjects he's dealing with are repetitive. Verdone should find a different approach rather than the "dramatic/comical" one otherwise he will only repeat endlessly. Another thing I absolutely don't understand... why do Italian directors continue to insert completely unknown foreign actors or, better, actresses (sic!) like Raquel Sueiro in this case?? Verdone speaks of "debut", but honestly, what kind of debut is this`? Dramatic, deep, scenic, psychologic or just "body debut", since Sueiro's part is that of being "the sexy woman"... Honestly Carlo: Why do you follow in the footsteps of those "Vacanze 200x"... movies?

5 out of 10. Buy and the others save a lot!
