History repeats itself as one of the Evans boys is coerced into joining a gang, only this time it is Michael as he is forced into joining the Junior Warlords. After witnessing an assault where his best friend Tommy is beaten and suffers a fractured skull in the process, he runs home and hides his gang jacket in the oven. Unfortuantely Florida and the rest of the family find out that he is a member during an anti-gang meeting when his jacket nearly catches fire. "Michael the Warlord" ploughed the same territory as "The Gang," only with Michael rather than JJ. Parents are up in arms over the Junior War Lords, and their terrorizing of schools, teachers and students. Mr. Parker (Earl Billings) wants to fight fire with fire, vigilante talk that makes Florida cringe. Things become even more serious when Michael's best friend Tommy ends up in the hospital with a fractured skull. Michael admits that he was there, an unwitting gang member, who ran as soon as he saw Tommy go down, and fears repercussions from the snubbed War Lords. JJ shares his high school experiences in the same situation, but this time only his mother can put a stop to it.
