Oliver tells her she must move her business somewhere else, so she sets up shop in their living room, tossing all of their furniture into the front yard.

"Haney's Cosmetetical Supply" carries Madame Yvette's Face Rejuvenating Cream with a secret ingredient: hamster milk. To demonstrate how well the product works, he presents Abagail Haney, his 93-year-old "great-great-grandmother." (The blonde bombshell who emerges from the back of his truck is perhaps 21-years-old.)

Prior to Lisa's involvement, Sam Drucker's only beauty products are Mercurochrome (used as nail polish), Pitney's Lamp Black (used for eye shadow), and his biggest seller, Givney's Silver Polish, which gives women a nice shine and keeps them from tarnishing in the sun.

The title comes from the common expression, "beauty is only skin deep."

After Ralph squirts Oliver with Lisa's vanishing spray, he turns invisible. Eb hears the disembodied voice of Mr. Douglas as the car door opens by itself and the vehicle pulls off with seemingly no driver.

In addition to eyebrow tweezers, Lisa orders a gross of forehead tweezers for the store.

After Lisa moves her cosmeticals from his store, Sam Drucker is seen talking on the phone as Oliver enters the store. He is taking a cosmetical order. Sam is talking into the earpiece and is holding the mouthpiece by his ear.
