McHale and his crew come across a German boat in a cove while on patrol. They are able to get the upper hand on the Germans but due to low gasoline on the 73 the enemy was able to get away. When McHale went in the cove to see what the Germans were doing, they find that they were trying to get cases of stolen wine off the sea floor. The wine is from the city of Voltafiore which is famous for the wine-making skill.

McHale comes up with a plan where he will empty the bottles of wine and store the drink in barrels. Then he will replace the bottles of wine with explosives and replace the case on the bottom of the sea. When the German come back to get the wine, they will have a big surprise waiting.

The mayor of the town finds out that McHale is placing wine cases at the bottom of the cove. He informs Binghamton and demands that he do something about McHale. Carpenter and Binghamton retrieve the cases and do not know about the explosives that are awaiting them. It's going to be one heck of an uncork.

This was another fresh script that was entertaining from beginning to the end. Even though they went a little long with Parker being intoxicated, the rest of the story was so interesting that it did not take away from the episode. It is nice to see the writers coming up with new ideas and entertaining shows. Throw in the nice acting and you have a show worthy of a watch. Good show.
