The comedy segment is Floyd R. Turbo, American, commenting on the high salaries of baseball players. Joan Rivers does not do a stand-up routine, but tells many jokes as Johnny asks questions on various topics including the Queen of England, Lady Diana and the upcoming wedding, and her own life. William Caufield, 78 years old, first comes out and talks about his life, including working 50 years assembling stoves - at one point the pay was three dollars a day. After a commercial break, he returns from backstage, but now denies having worked at that job. Johnny then explains the ruse - it is now identical twin Amos sitting in the chair, and William is brought back out. Amos had quit stove assembly since the work was too hard, and got a job plucking geese. The brothers won a contest in Illinois as "Most Identical Twins", and afterward said they would like to be on "The Tonight Show", which they watched every night.
