TV-14 Lifetime says it all about the quality of the script.

Daughter is studying in Bulgaria. Mom visits and is there on a cyber security conference. With no surprise daughter is "Taken." Mom does not go Liam Neeson on anyone and uses her lock picking and cyber ability to find her because she is in a country where she can not trust anyone, even the police.

Pretty straight forward, If you thought the film was great and had a twist, please feel free to put a gun to your head and leave my planet. You are part of the problem.

Lots of hokum and hard to believe this middle aged babe running around with too much hair blowing in the wind is even capable in finding her daughter. This actress is terrible. Bug eyed most of the time and talking tough, we are asked to believe her ranting and snooping. And she needs to have her roots bleached. Best performances come from the supporting cast. You root for the villains in this. Otherwise a waste of time.

Taut thriller in old Yugoslavia where a girl and her Serbian friend attending college there are both kidnapped by a group selling off girls for eventual prostitution. Luckily, our girl's mother arrives for an internet conference. An expert in the field, she goes all lengths to find the missing girls.

There is plenty of intrigue here as you just don't know who to trust. The police are up to their necks in corruption as well.

The film shows how modern technology can be used to catch the culprits.

The mother perseveres in her hunt; although, it's more than coincidental that she finds a private detective who can be trusted and is not part of the mayhem.
