Alf returns to town to help out an amnesiac Marilyn. Marilyn pays a visit to John and, even though she remembers nothing, the fact she soon slips back into old patterns leaves John with hope for the future. James once again fails to produce his parents. Suspicious Maddy blatantly looks through his phone but what she finds leaves her thinking he is merely proposing to Roo. Alf is not convinced however. Town slut Matt has once again slept with crazy older woman Charlotte and Andy realises he likes Maddy because she's the only girl he knows who has a boyfriend. Charlotte is now so confident of her untouchability that she dismisses the visions of Denny as unimportant.
