Ash's attitude is slightly frustrating, although Ricky shouldn't blame him for what happened with Brax. It's good that Kyle doesn't blame him and there's some good stuff for Denny, advising Ricky and taking advice from Ash. Phoebe's plight at the hands of Ryan isn't really given enough attention to sink home, although he is realistically creepy.

The Maddy/Oscar storyline is confusing and frustrating. Oscar getting needy and insecure and thinking Maddy isn't interested in him grates, as does Maddy's pointless decision to hide things from Oscar, although she does get a few nice "back to her old" self moments when she gets excited about it.
