Old man Coombs has built up a big spread. But he's got this weird idea about how the spread should be left to his two sons. Having read Darwin, he figures he should leave the whole thing to whichever is the stronger of the two, Tully or Jayce. That means they're supposed to fight to the death with the old man's urging. Tully calls in Paladin in order to prevent the fratricidal contest.

Unusual premise, but Smith as the old man doesn't have quite the gravitas to bring off his tyrannical role. However, Rust is fine as Jayce, the more imposing of the brothers. The upshot is hard to predict, but generally satisfying in this overall average entry.
