Bill and his wife receive a letter from the latter's mother, in which she states that her arrival is timed for 3 o'clock, and asking Bill to be at the station. Off the little man sets, and affectionately greeting mother-in-law, seizes her by the arm, and endeavors to cross the road. But the traffic frightens Ma, who hesitates, and while Bill crosses she turns round, and promptly loses him. Bill commences a search for the missing lady. He enters a boot and shoe emporium, but after he has glanced up at the shelves, and dived into the recesses of a few boxes, he is kicked out of the shop. The same thing happens when he looks in at a naturalist's, and in despair he visits the lost property office. At last he fixes a notice on a wall, informing all and sundry that $100 reward will be paid to anyone finding a lady answering to the name of Selina. Riotous Richard, a singularly disreputable member of the tramp fraternity, reads the notice, and forthwith institutes a search for Selina. He ...
