The opening shot of Jayne running across the foot bridge was filmed with the camera on the roof of a car driving parallel with the actress, the passenger in the car viewed the shot via a LCD monitor and gave direction via mobile phone to the actress to speed up or slow down her run so the car could stay in line with her, but due to using a public bridge the car could only go a slow speed for a short amount of time. Eventually 3 takes were filmed and the third take was used.
The 2 scenes of ghouls decending to hell were a late idea to include into the final edit, it was accomplished by green screen
The film has a theatrical and a directors cut available. The directors cut lasts a minute longer but has an alternative opening and ending with different music. The soundtrack of the directors cut consists of the temp track with select tracks of the music produced specifically for the film. Select scenes featured in the theatrical cut are missing in the directors cut but instead feature alternative scenes not included in the theatrical version.
