First appearance of Stana Katic in a three-episode arc as Collette Stenger. A couple of years later, Katic began playing the female lead in the series Castle (2009); in the season five episode "Castle: Target (2013)" Jack is mentioned by Richard Castle, the title character, while theorizing about the motive for a murder.

Tony's death is not followed by the customary silent clock. This led to conspiracy theories amongst fans that Tony wasn't really dead. This later proves to be true when he resurfaces in season 7.

In the last episode: Sentox gas is released in CTU. Some people get to the isolated rooms. Edgar gets late and he doesn't reach any safe area. He soon falls unconscious.

*****SPOILERS****** After Sentox being released at CTU facilities, they receive news that the chemical crew won't get there before half an hour. Jack and remaining crew find out the gas was mixed with acid and the protection seal of the rooms are fading. They have less than 20 minutes to rearrange the air-conditioning system to stop spreading the gas, otherwise people in the isolated zones will also die. Chloe tries to reach the air-conditioning system through computer, but she finds out there is a program in another computer interfering her access. Someone needs to shut down the program. Henderson still doesn't provide any information. Tony wants him dead but he agrees to hold his revenge till further interrogatory. President Logan gets help from the Vice-President. He advises Logan to announce Martial Law in LA area. Mike thinks it's a bad idea and warns Martha. Martha Logan and Mike believes the Vice-President is manipulating Logan for private interest. Karen Hayes (Department of Homeland Security) warns Prevident and Vice that CTU is "compromised". She takes their personnel to CTU for "major restructuring" - meaning replacing the whole CTU team. Russian Terrorists are reaching another target. They are only waiting for a map of the target. Jack get out of the sealed room to shut down a program so Chloe can access the air-conditioning system. He holds his breath and gets outside the sealed area, only to find out he cannot reach the computer from that floor. He returns to a safe area and pass the information to Chloe. Lynn is the only one who can reach the computer, but he won't be able to re-enter a safe area. Lynn accepts the task, even though he knows this means he gonna die. Lynn is not alone, another agent gets the news he will also die. Lynn has no option. He reaches the computer and shuts down the computer. Lynn's heroic action proves to succeed. Lynn and the other agent die. Jack wants to talk to Kim, but Kim wants to leave CTU. She leaves after few words. Jack goes towards medical room, to talk to Henderson, though Henderson is unconscious. But Tony is there and he wants to kill Henderson, blaming him for Michelle's death. Tomy gets a syringe with some toxic content to kill Henderson who apparently looks unconscious. When Tony is almost inserting the needle, he trembles, he doesn't find courage enough to do it. Henderson - who was only pretending - attacks Tony by surprise. He releases the syringe contents against Tony. Tony falls on the floor. Henderson takes a gun and run away. Jack reaches the room soon after wards, he finds Tony on the floor in a bad condition. Tony closes his eyes while Jacks hugs him and cries.

Great episode. Seems like everything is falling apart for the team. Couldn't believe the percentage of knock outs. Fatherly. Chivalry. Psychiatry. By the way, I can't wait to see Collette, played by Stana Katic, in the next one. Hope she has a more active role. Can't wait to see what else is in store for the team. And if the outside take over will prove successful...Martha, the presidents wife, needs to take charge of her dingle president though. Sean Astin had a patriotic role which was nice. Wish Bauer would have known how to handle his daughter a little better.

Cheers.

This takes place primarily in the CTU where that invader left the nerve gas. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to have anything in place to combat this. There were numerous casualties. I once again hope I never see Kim Bauer again. She and her lack of basic gratitude doesn't need to be part of this. There is a lot of heroism in this episode. Meanwhile, the Vice President is showing his ambition, knowing that the President is really a wimp. There are shakeups coming at CTU very soon. And then there is Collette.

For an episode confined (almost entirely( within the walls of CTU, this is a scorcher. It's all on Jack to crawl through the ducts and vent the nerve gas. And even though this show has never wavered in its dumping on Jack, he just seems to shoulder everything here.

SPOILERS

A daughter that doesn't want to be near him, a containment situation that continues to worsen, asking someone else to die instead of him because he's out of reach, and having a friend die in his arms . . . it's nuts!

There's plenty of emotion in this one and it mixes beautifully with the action. For chalking up two more good guys, it is massively entertaining.

Jack and the rest of CTU take action to protect the remaining isolated areas while Chloe wrestles with her grief over Edgar's death. The fact that a corrosive agent had been added to the nerve gas means that it is slowly eating away at the seals of the isolated safe-rooms and forces them to take immediate action to slow it down so that Curtis can arrive with a Haz-Mat team. Lynn McGill sacrifices himself to shut down the controls of the ventilation system, allowing Chloe to override and slow down the pathogen, saving the lives of the survivors. Meanwhile Tony contemplates revenge on Henderson. Martha bolsters Logan's judgment as he faces political pressure from Gardner about imposing martial law. As Tony prepares to kill Henderson with a lethal injection, he hesitates and Henderson, waking up, plunges the needle into Tony, killing him. In summary, here the events that happened during that hour: 1.Vladimir Bierko talks to Collette about the schematics he needs. The nerve gas attack on CTU. 2.Jack Bauer tells Lynn he's the only one who can reach the computer upstairs and release the oxygen to absorb the gas. After succeeding in doing this, Lynn dies from exposure to the nerve gas. Martha Logan tells Charles she will not let Hal Gardner use him for his own agenda. 3.Tony Almeida has a gun in Medical and is about to kill Christopher Henderson when Jack convinces him they need Henderson to talk. After Henderson fails to talk, Tony takes over. Henderson suddenly wakes up from the coma and stabs Tony. Henderson escapes as Jack comes in and sees Tony on the ground. Jack holds Tony in his arms and cries... The tension inside the compromised CTU continues as people in isolated areas have remained in there. Will they ever escape?Or is this the end to it all.But suddenly,Lynn McGill sacrifices his life to shut down the controls of the ventilation system and it allowed Chloe to override and slow down the pathogen, saving the lives of the people at CTU.Also,we see Tony being stabbed by Henderson as he escapes from which becomes emotional moment as we see Jack cry.
