Dan Akyroyd makes an uncredited guest appearance as the refrigerator repair man.
In spite of previous show trivia claiming this wasn't filmed in front of an audience, at the end of this episode, Fran Drescher holds a microphone to the studio audience and introduces Dan Aykroyd, who played the refrigerator repairman in the end scene. She dances with him, while the cast and audience all clap.
The title is based on the musical "Sunday in the Park with George" with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine.
Dan Aykroyd and Fran Drescher co-starred, met and became steadfast friends during the filming of "Doctor Detroit" (1983), along with Donna Dixon who married Aykroyd and whom also has guest-starred on another episode of "The Nanny."
Eric Braeden is best known for his long running role on the daytime drama The Young and The Restless. Nicholle Tom's sister Heather Tom would play Braeden's daughter on The Young and The Restless. Nichole's twin brother David Tom would also play a regular role on Y&R.
