Omid Abrams spent 7 months researching the film before actually writing it.
Jamian Blackmon was originally attached for a role in the film and even lost weight for it, but had to drop out due to a family tragedy.
To prepare for his role in the film, Omid Iranikhah gained 15 pounds in fat, buzzed his hair, got a tan, and shaved his arms. In order to fully get into the mindset of his character, he would follow random cars around at night for up to 2 hours each.
