It is the 1st Historic Landmark District in Pasadena, as well as the United States of America. But how did it get its name? How did it become a Landmark District? And why are people trying to buy a house in this neighborhood? Resident filmmaker, Joaquin Montalvan's feature length documentary takes you through the neighborhood, inside the houses, hears from the residents, and reveals the hard fought struggle that took place to preserve this piece of our past. This isn't a History lesson, it's about a Lifestyle!

The film screened at the Pasadena Public Library on July 24th, 2014 to a standing room only crowd with then Pasadena Mayor, Bill Bogaard and his wife Claire in attendance.

"Bungalow Heaven: Preserving a Neighborhood" was the opening film of the festival at Pasadena International Film Festival 2015.

The film was nominated for Best Documentary at Pasadena International Film Festival 2015.

A copy of the film permanently resides in the archives at the Pasadena Museum of History.
