Venda D'Abato, who portrays Ajay, was considered for the part of Caroline Winters.

The various scenes of the Innocent Killers doing their jobs at the beginning of the film were shot months apart. A pick up shot from the Joey-Caroline segment was even shot 8 months after principle photography for the saga had been completed.

The joke that Joey attempts to tell to the Beta Hunters is the same joke he tales various times throughout the saga. The complete joke is never heard.

The scene of Ruby James, the Shadowdragon, leaving the bar with the red head is the last scene Demarcus Young filmed for the saga.

The bar scene at the beginning of the film has the most lead characters of any scene in the series where the actors are actually present together. Other scenes through out the series with main characters together are created through trick photography and editing.

The scene between Joey and Mike near a heavy bag mimics the scene between Joey and Mickey from the first film of the saga.

At the beginning of the film, when Jax asks the recently shot guard if he likes the music the song playing is one by Jade Esteban Estrada, the actor who portrays Jax.

The vomit that Joey throws up near the end of the film is actually a combination of Gatorade, water and orange peels.

Actor Matthew Jasso has said that Joey's turn into a villain at the end of the film was exactly why he took the role.

The first 30 minutes of this movie are the best in the entire saga. At last we truly see what its like for this team of Innocent Killers to work together toward a common goal. After that the film goes in and out of various story lines connected to the saga but also characters and story lines from other Ponderous films. With all of that it gets a bit convoluted but any long time fan will enjoy it. Other then that the film seems to faulter for the rest of the two hours. Joey takes a bit of the limelight in this picture and we get a does of his background with the return of Hirojito. This builds up to what could have been an excellent action sequence but is a bit of a let down due to the inability of some of the actresses playing the Beta Hunters. There is a very interesting reveal at the end that should have people truly anticipating the next film.

all in all a strong start and some good story but the action faulters near the end.
