As the party goers watch, the Harper well goes up in massive flash of light. Joe and Elena flee with the money. Jeb pulls a seriously injured Max to safety. Justin swears that he'll send Max to prison for the rest of his life. Lurlene and Reena fear the worst when Lurlene reveals that Jeb and Max were at the Harper well. Elena and Joe debate leaving the country. Max is rushed to Gulfcoast Hospital. Jeb blames himself for Max's condition. Reena learns that Max's condition is far worse than anticipated. Elena hears about Max's injuries and leaves Joe. Ginny tells off Justin. Striker and Ryan realize that the explosion would have completely destroyed any evidence that Justin and Bubba were slant drilling. As Max undergoes a grueling surgery, Reena cries to Vicky that Max won't survive.
