This episode marks the introduction of the character Gilda, played by Leanne Lapp.
Rose McIver (Liv), David Anders (Blaine), Evan Frayne (Customer), and Robert Mann (Bum) all previously appeared on C'era una volta (2011).
Creator Rob Thomas stated in an interview that the show saved money all year so they could spend it on the fight scene between Major (Robert Buckley) and Blaine (David Anders) at Meat Cute.
When Major (Robert Buckley) asks Blaine (David Anders) why he's doing this, Blaine jokingly cites daddy issues as one of his reasons. In the next season we find out that Blaine does have a very poor relationship with his father and presumably some serious daddy issues.
This episode marks the final appearance of the character Julien Dupont, played by Aleks Paunovic.
