Initial preproduction funding came from "borrowed" grant money from the filmmakers' alma mater.
The stunt driver was an ex-convict who went back to prison shortly after shooting.
Director 'Andrew Schrader (II)' supported himself financially during post-production by writing final exam papers for rich college students.
Co-directors 'Jordan Harris (VIII)' and 'Andrew Schrader (II)' were arrested during post-production for "disturbing the peace" when they organized a fake protest of Fever Night at a church in Arizona.
Shot primarily with massive banks of rechargeable LED flashlights with hooks on them, so they could be hung in the trees and bushes. PVC piping was fitted on light stands for hanging lights.
Nobody was allowed to shower for the month of principal photography, due to concern about toxins in the shower water. Bottled water was used for brushing teeth and washing key areas.
