Good Morning, World Stan and Ollie Meet Larry and Dave (1967–1968) Online

Dave (Joby Baker) and Larry (Ronnie Schell) become enamored by a pair of Laurel and Hardy salt and pepper shakers at an auction that they are serving as auctioneers. The girls, Linda (Julie Parrish) and Sandy (Goldie Hawn), come up with an idea for them to both have them. The guys aren't pleased with the outcome and try to find a way to solve the problem. The resolution appears to be a sentimental one until it later loses its merit. There is a major series turning point, but it is quickly yanked away and nullified, leaving the viewer disappointed and even somewhat deprived. The writer for this episode even makes Larry a dim, unlikable character throughout the story. He's already been established as greedy and heavily self-centered, but I think it goes a step too far here to the point it makes the viewer frustrated. The material and story is pretty weak even without these issues.
