Out of the Game is a documentary that offers an intimate portrait of the lives of 4 young people in Tower Hamlets. Against a backdrop of poverty, crime, and racial tensions, they have refused to conform to stereotypes, instead devoting their lives to teaching the next generation in a revolutionary sports scheme. Oli turned his back on his 'gang' to run the biggest club; Marlan supports his young family with income earned as a sports teacher; and Iffath has turned racial prejudice on it's head, by making others look beyond the hijab to the football player inside.
